A table by the docks

At the gates of the La Rochelle–La Pallice commercial port, a stone's throw from the imposing submarine base — a concrete relic of 1945 — Le Hangar 27 welcomes you Monday to Friday in a warm, unaffected dockside setting.

Raw wood, chalkboards and harbour photographs: a genuine neighbourhood restaurant, warm and generous, where you come for the dish of the day just as readily as for a sharing board with colleagues, a beer at the counter or a coffee on the terrace.

Two terraces on the harbour

When the weather turns, everyone moves outside: a covered terrace under a pergola and a garden corner with olive trees and lavender, both open onto the working docks.

Lunch in the sun, an early-evening drink, a coffee facing the harbour: a breath of sea air a few minutes from the centre of La Rochelle.
